| Job Description | genForma is a stealth-mode startup pioneering a new way to run open source applications in the cloud with seed funding from the National Science Foundation. We are looking for part-time developers who have a passion for hacking on open source applications and learning new technologies. The work is a combination of web front-end (HTML/CSS/JavaScript) and back-end (Python/Django). Ideally, we would like someone with experience in both areas, but would also be interested in developers particularly strong in one area.
This is a great opportunity to earn some money, work on cool stuff, and perhaps be a part of the Next Big Thing. |
| Qualifications | Requirements
- Candidates must be currently enrolled in a B.S. or graduate degree program in Computer Science/Engineering with a GPA of 3.0 or higher. - Candidates must have the right to work in the U.S. - Available to work 20 hours per week. Desired skills - HTML/CSS/JavaScript - Experience with a JavaScript framework (e.g. jQuery or Dojo) - Python scripting experience - Python web frameworks (e.g. Django, Turbogears, Pylons) - Know your way around a Linux machine (especially Ubuntu) - Experience with cloud computing technologies (e.g. Virtual Private Servers, Google App engine, Amazon Web Services) - Experience with popular open source applications (e.g. Blogs, Project management, Wikis) - Show us your projects (open source, class projects, or hobby projects)! |
